If You’ve EVER Worried About Anything, Keep Reading…

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

I just got off the phone with a friend of mine that is feeling a bit overwhelmed by his financial situation. He said that over the past few months, he has spent more time worrying about things than ever before. I’m pretty sure he’s not the only one feeling this way. In fact, I believe a lot of people are feeling similar pressures right now so I thought I would share my biggest secret on how to deal with this type of stress and worry. As a matter of fact, if you apply these principles every time you begin to let worry sink in, I promise you that you’ll never have to worry about another thing in your life. You can eliminate worry as fast as you can flip a switch if you know how. I know it sounds like a tall promise, but click play on the button below and I’ll explain…

Take a few minutes and really let this sink in. It may just change your whole life.

Here’s to life,

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

I just watched this video with Darryl Strawberry. It was awesome listening to him and how he has discovered what it means to be a Lifeonaire.  Furthermore, he is living the life and more satisfied than he has ever been.  Check it out and let me know what you think:

If you’re interested in reading more of Darryl’s story, his new book, Finding My Way, is available in bookstores now.

A Lifeonaire “Must Read”

The Millionaire Next Door

This book, written by Thomas Stanley and William Danko, is obviously going down in history as a classic.  It’s a book that I skim-read, but never REALLY read or gave much credence to, many years ago. Recently, I decided to sit down and take the time to really read this book, and I highly recommend that you do the same.

The Millionaire Next Door is well-written, engaging, and easy to read.  Although, I’m certain that the financial theme increases its appeal, since money is a topic that is on everyone’s mind, especially lately.  The authors provide tremendous insight into the mind of the “typical” American millionaire.  However, you’ll quickly find out that “typical” is not what most people would believe or imagine; in fact, it’s often completely counter-cultural.

If you haven’t read this book, I recommend that you take the time to do so.  I do, however, want to give you some direction before you begin.  The book is written with the assumption that most people’s goal in life is to accumulate as much wealth as possible.  While this presupposition is exactly opposite of how a true Lifeonaire thinks, we can still learn a lot from the sound principles in the book.  Being a good steward, living within one’s means, and investing wisely are all prudent financial goals toward which Lifeonaires should be striving.  Wealth can be achieved by anyone; it’s the wise use of that wealth that’s the key for a Lifeonaire.  As you read, be sure to have a clear picture of your personal financial goals and weigh the author’s advice against the Lifeonaire principles that you are practicing in your own life.

Most importantly–remember this is not a “christian” book.  As a Lifeonaire, glorifying God must be your ultimate goal.  As you read, contemplate each chapter through the lens of God’s word and your own desire to bring him glory with your finances-and your life!

Enjoy!

Blessings,

Steve

Get Back Up

Friday, April 17th, 2009

You think you have it hard?  Think again.  Here’s a quick video that you should stop what you’re doing and take a few minutes to watch.

Sometimes the biggest mistake we make is in thinking that we should have no problems in life. We think problems are a curse, instead of knowing that our problems are a gift. The only way we usually grow is if we get a good enough problem to stimulate us to use our resourcefulness to find a part of our
self that is not being used.

Here is an extraordinary example of a man who chooses to view his “problems” as gifts, and a resource to show the world that there are no limitations to what we can do.

I hope you will be inspired.
